Multi-basin water use network model for evaluating evolution of water resource systems toward sustainable water use

When treating multi-river basins as a whole using ecological network analysis (ENA) approach, broad knowledge gap in the of water transfer activities among river need to be filled. In this study, given projects conducted China, multi-basin use model was developed evaluate evolution Huang, Huai, and Hai River (HHH basins) from 2008 2017. According system-level information analysis, structure changed steadily with slight variation it characterized by better ability material than against external interference. By functional results showed that three rivers competed for usage resources relationships between Huang basin other two were similar. Furthermore, Huai partially depend on supply River, pressures environmental flow are more significant basin. Based some measures toward sustainable under severe shortage proposed.
